CWCCA Junior Membership Program

A Junior Membership in the CWCCA is absolutely FREE!

Click here to visit our “How to Join” page for an application. Our Juniors gain recognition in companion and performance events such as obedience, agility, rally, tracking, and herding as well as in showmanship.

Junior Showmanship

Junior Showmanship offers young people between the ages of 9 and 18 years of age an opportunity to develop their handling skills, learn about good sportsmanship and learn about dogs and dog shows. Juniors are judged on their ability to present, or handle, their dogs as they would in the breed ring.

Junior Assistance Grants

The Junior Assistance Grant (JAG) is a non-competitive award available to all qualifying Juniors. It was first offered in 2015.

In 2019 the JAG award was $500.

This award is to help offset the expenses for attending events such as:

  • Junior Showmanship at Westminster
  • Junior Showmanship at the AKC National Championship
  • Junior Companion events at the AKC National Championship
  • AKC Invitationals for Companion Events

Any CWCCA Junior member who has met the requirements of the individual event is eligible.
