Breed Education

Stud Dog Social

(New to our Specialty)

There is no charge for this event.  Either to participate or to attend.

One of the primary goals of attending a National is to expand and improve our knowledge and make breeding decisions.  Many breeders go “shopping “ for stud dogs for their next breeding, sometimes for a breeding down the line. As such, Breed Education is providing an exclusive opportunity to see and to be seen. At this event, you’ll not only be able to touch the Stud Dog of your dreams, but to talk to the breeders that produced them and discuss how they accomplished the level of quality in the dog.

Use all of your senses.

    • See: See the dog up close and examine its structure.
    • Hear:  The knowledge of each breeder and discuss ideas, outcomes, and dreams.
    • Touch: What you feel defines what you see.
    • Smell: That fine adult beverage (or mock adult beverage) in your hand.
    • Taste: The thrill of acquiring the knowledge to make all your dreams come true.

Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm provides the opportunity to discover and showcase our stud dogs. Successful breeding isn’t in the moment but in the plan. And we will have educational materials about how to examine the stud dogs, what to look for, and what other successful breeders have suggested are necessary for them…and more.

Please bring your stud dogs. ALL OF THEM…even those that may be prospects. Who knows what traits someone may be looking for?

We have three categories to enter. You can choose which works best for you.

    • Up and Coming (any dogs under 2 that are prospects to stud, tested or not)
    • Tested – any dogs that you know their status for genetic testing, but maybe have not yet produced enough litters to know exactly how they would help another breeder’s line
      (Clear by Parentage counts)
    • Proven – Studs that have been used and produced traits with some consistency

Looking for a stud down the road? 1 year? 5 years? 10 years? Technology allows us to plan that far ahead! Research, and then touch and see the stud first hand. Plan on attending our Stud Dog Social.

Limited availability. First come. First serve.

All new events have their starts and stops and hurdles.  Breeders Education is donating a raffle basket related to breeding.  At this time all proceeds from the raffles basket sales will go to fund hospitality at the Stud Dog Social.  Please support our new and exciting party.  These costs are in addition to the already sponsored Cash Bar.  Thank you Corona Cardigans for your sponsorship and support.

In addition you can donate to hospitality and earmark the funds for the Stud Dog Social.  Please just check the box under your donation amount.
Hospitality Donations
